She obtained her undergraduate degree in Biology with minors in Spanish and Political Science from the University of Louisville. She earned her medical degree in 2008 from the University of Louisville School of Medicine. She completed her residency at the St. Elizabeth Family Medicine Residency Program, with an additional year of obstetric fellowship completed in 2012.
