I was born in California and grew up in Alaska and Oregon. I was always interested in medicine and liked caring for people so I decided to go into nursing. I earned my B. I chose internal medicine because I like to focus on the health of the whole individual. Internal medicine allows me to do that by concentrating on how the body systems work together.
