About Ramprasad Jegadeesan
Board certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology, Dr. Jegadeesan began his medical career in India before moving to the U.S. He served as an assistant professor and associate program director at Southern Illinois University (SIU) School of Medicine, and most recently, directed SIU's Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) Clinic, treating complex IBD cases. He also served on the Springfield Memorial Hospital Peer Review Committee aimed at improving GI patient care quality.
