About Seshat Mack
Dr. Seshat Mack was born and raised in Harlem, NYC, and completed their undergraduate education at Howard University in Washington D.C. Dr. Mack then returned to New York City to enroll in the M.D./Ph.D. program at Mount Sinai, and completed a Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences with Dr. Lakshmi Devi in 2020. Their research has implications for the treatment of opioid use disorder. Dr. Mack completed medical school in 2022, and completed a residency at Mount Sinai/Institute for Family Health in 2025.
