About Wanda Godfrey
Dr. Godfrey grew up in Massachusetts and graduated with honors from Boston University in 1982. She then became a Peace Corps volunteer in Sierra Leone, West Africa for two years. While there, she lived in a small, remote village and assisted local villages in water well and latrine construction projects, vaccinations, and child and maternal health campaigns, etc. It was during this time, surrounded by so much unnecessary suffering and death, that she was inspired to become a doctor.
